About Wave Road
Wave Road on Liftoff is a vertical balance runner. A ball climbs an endless wavy track and you tap left and right to keep it centered while gravity constantly pulls it toward the low side of each wave. Mistime your taps and the ball slides off the edge; nail the rhythm and you flow up the track dodging obstacles.
The balance mechanic is what makes it distinct from a lane runner. The track undulates continuously, so the center target is always moving, and your taps counteract a slide that never stops. Short pulses keep you balanced; held inputs overcorrect off the opposite edge.
Obstacles layer on top of the balance work. Barriers, gaps, and accelerators appear on the track, and dodging them has to happen alongside the centering rhythm. Narrow sections punish overshooting taps - precision beats speed there.
Falling off either edge ends the run. The track generates procedurally with escalating wave amplitude and obstacle density, and distance is the score.

How to Play
Tap left or right (arrows or A/D) to push the ball against the wave slope. Tapping counteracts gravity pulling you toward the low side.
Release to let the ball roll naturally. The tap-release interplay keeps you centered on the undulating track.
Dodge track obstacles. Barriers, gaps, and accelerators require weaving or timing.
Stay on the track. Falling off either edge ends the run.

Pro Tips
Tap in short pulses. Held inputs overcorrect off the opposite edge; quick taps keep you balanced.
Read the wave ahead. The slope signals which way gravity will pull - counteract before you start sliding.
Prioritize staying on over perfect obstacle dodging. An edge fall always kills you; an obstacle hit might not.
Slow your tap rhythm on narrow sections. Precision beats speed when the track thins.
